Carcassonne is a tile-placing game where players take turns building up a landscape of pastures, roadways, and cities while placing their Meeples on the grass, roads, and cities to earn points. Over the span of several rounds, each player places a tile to expand the map and strategically place their meeples on the map. Each meeple that is on a city, roadway, and pasture touching individual towns when they are completed scores their player specific amounts of points. First to 50 points wins! Designed by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, manufactured by Rio Grande Games.

Review from The End Zone Reviewer: 7/10
I have many fond memories of playing different versions of this game with my family. I found it incredibly fun to play while being low-energy enough to not warrant any aggressively competitive behavior (which I am personally prone to). I give this game a 7/10- it's a great game to get as a gateway to bigger and more complex games.
